Using GivePanel forms for registrations opens up a world of possibilities because your Facebook transaction data is in the same place as your event (campaign) data. One example of this is the huge time-saving matching functionality that we’ll come onto shortly.

In your account, you have the option to create a type of form, called ‘’Event Registration’’ & ''Event Registration with 1-Click Fundraising''.

These forms are different from the ‘’Request Fundraiser Details with On-page Message’’ forms because the event registration forms URL can be put anywhere e.g. at the top of your Challenge’s Facebook group to capture registrations.

These forms are also linked to your campaign/event so when a registration comes into your GivePanel account, it is automatically associated with the campaign/event.

The forms have been designed to resemble native Facebook forms, optimizing them for better conversion rates from groups. This approach has led to an impressive 93% conversion rate, meaning that 93% of individuals who open the form go on to complete it.

When you receive a form completion, the registration goes into your registration list, and it is here where you can view all of your registrations and export the data on your registrations using the ''Export to CSV" button.

You can also run something called Matching. This means that if one of your supporters has registered for your Facebook Challenge and has also created a Facebook fundraiser, the registration and fundraiser will match.

Subsequently, the registration data will automatically populate on the fundraiser record in GivePanel and the fundraiser will be coded up with the associated event / campaign name automatically.

This functionality allows you to conveniently filter between those who have both registered for your event and created a fundraiser, and those who haven't. Using the beta email tool, you can then specifically target those who haven't created a fundraiser yet with an email, inviting them to do so.

If using the Event Registration with 1-Click form, registrations and fundraisers will both come into your GivePanel account automatically matched.

More information on how the matching works can be found in our help article.
