How to inspect your console

If you're experiencing a problem in your account, we might ask if you to inspect something called your console

If you're experiencing a problem in your account, we might ask if you to inspect something called your console, this helps our engineers with their investigations and can provide clues as to what might be causing your problem. 

Instructions on how to do this are below:


On a Windows Machine:

  1. When in your GivePanel account, please press the keyboard shortcut F12 which will open up your browsers console (this will open on the side of your screen). Alternatively, right click on the page, and click "Inspect".
  2. Then please navigate to where you're experiencing the issue (e.g. if you're experiencing a white screen upon logging in to GivePanel, please login so the white screen is showing in front of you)
  3. Next perform a hard refresh
  4. Finally, could you send over a screenshot of anything that appears in your console. It should look something like this:

On a Mac:

  1. When in your GivePanel account, please press the keyboard shortcut fn+F12 which will open up your browsers console (this will open on the side of your screen).
  2. Then please navigate to when you're experiencing the issue (e.g. if you're reporting a white screen upon logging in to GivePanel, please login so the white screen is showing in front of you)
  3. Next perform a hard refresh.
  4. Finally, could you send over a screenshot of anything that appears in your console. It should look something like this:
