If you’ve integrated your GivePanel account with the Meta Lead webhook to import facebook lead form leads into your GivePanel account, you can use Meta’s testing tool to fire a test lead into your GivePanel account.

If you already have other facebook lead form campaigns live (and selected to import all leads during setup), seeing lead form leads coming into your account from those campaigns also confirms the integration is working as expected.

Using Facebook’s Test Lead Tool

To test the integration using Facebook’s tool:

  1. Access the Facebook Lead Ads Testing Tool:
    Visit Facebook’s Test Lead Tool.

  2. Select Your Facebook Page:
From the dropdown at the top of the page, choose the Facebook page connected to your GivePanel account. Below this dropdown, you should see a reference to “App ID xxxxxxx GivePanel,” confirming the link between your Facebook account and GivePanel.

  3. Choose Your Lead Form:
In the dropdown at the bottom of the page, select the lead form you want to test.

  4. Submit a Test Lead:
Click “Preview Form,” fill out the required fields, and submit the form. This will generate a test lead.

  5. Check Your GivePanel Account:
If the integration is set up correctly, the test lead should appear in your GivePanel account under the Leads section.

Need Assistance?

If your test lead doesn’t appear in GivePanel, this is likely tied to a permissions issue. Some customers will integrate with GivePanel’s Leads webhook successfully but then do not see leads come into the platform. This is often due to the Leads Access permission which works fine if it’s never been used before. However if it has been used by another integration (either currently or in the past), then GivePanel needs to be given permission.

Add the Lead Access permission in your Non Profits Business Manager. To do this, in Meta go to Business Settings > Integrations > Lead Access > Assign CRMs and insert our GivePanel Business ID 295624107535187 and then try firing another test lead.

See screen shot below of where this is in GivePanel’s Meta Business manager as an example:

This simple test ensures your lead integration is fully operational and ready to capture leads from your campaigns.
