Contacts is the new way to bring all supporter data together into unified profiles. This update combines previously separate records from Fundraisers, Registrations, Donations, and Leads, creating a single, comprehensive view of each supporter’s activity.

With Contacts, you can filter and analyse data in real time, helping your charity gain deeper insights and make informed decisions.

Accessing Contacts
If enabled in your account, navigate to Audience in the main navigation bar and select Contacts from the dropdown menu.

🚀 Exciting Updates Coming!

We’re continuously working on new features to help you make the most of Contacts and Segments. Stay tuned for updates that will enhance your ability to analyse, manage, and engage with your supporters like never before!

Key Features of Contacts

1. Unified Records

All activities (such as fundraisers, registrations, donations, and leads) are now linked under a single contact profile. Each profile is unique to your charity and identified by email address.

2. Real-Time Data

Data updates automatically, giving you the most accurate view of your supporters.

3. Advanced Filtering

Filter contacts by:

  • Activity Type (e.g., lead, registration, fundraiser created, active fundraiser, donation).

  • Amount Raised (e.g., less than $50, more than $100).

  • Date Ranges (e.g., before, after, or between specific dates).

  • Campaign Name (include or exclude specific campaigns).

  • Campaign Platform (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, JustGiving).

4. Widgets for Insights

At the top of the Contacts page:

  • Total Contacts: Displays the number of contacts matching the applied filters.

  • Total Raised: Shows the total amount raised by the filtered contacts.

5. Editing and Exporting

  • View and edit individual contact records directly.

  • Export filtered contacts as a CSV file for further use.

Using Filters

Available Filters

Filters allow you to segment contacts by various criteria. Here’s how to use them:

  • Activity Type: Narrow down contacts by activities like donations, registrations, or fundraiser creation.

  • Date Ranges: Select options such as "Equals," "Before," "After," or "Between" specific dates.

  • Amount Raised: Filter by exact amounts or ranges using "Equals," "Less than," "More than," or "Between."

  • Campaign Name: Focus on activities tied to specific campaigns or exclude them.

  • Campaign Platform: Target data from specific platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or JustGiving.

Combining Filters

You can layer multiple filters to create precise segments. For example:

  • Filter for fundraisers created between 1 October 2024 and 31 October 2024 on JustGiving who raised more than $50.

Creating Segments

After filtering your contacts, you can save them as a segment for future use. Learn more about segments here.

Exporting Contacts

FAQs

Q: How does the Total Raised widget calculate the amount? The Total Raised widget sums up all donations linked to the filtered contacts. It ensures no double-counting, even if a supporter has self-donated.
