Update (October 2025)
The single day importer is now consistently working again. Meta’s API issue appears to be resolved from their side, and you should be able to import Facebook transaction data using the single day importer as normal.
If you're still encountering any issues, please contact our support team ([email protected])
What normally happens
When you use the single day importer in GivePanel:
A green tick means data was successfully imported for that date.
A red cross means an import was attempted, but no data was returned.
In most cases, this means no donations were received on that date.
In the data import table, you’ll see the message:
“No data available - Facebook didn’t return any data for this request.”
What happened
Meta confirmed a bug in their Reporting API, which meant:
The red cross and “no data” error could appear even if there were donations on that date.
In other words, the error was sometimes caused by the bug, not by a genuine absence of donations.
What you can do
Going forward, you should now be able to use the single-day importer as normal.
If you run into any issues, you can fall back on the Facebook multi-day transaction report to bring data into GivePanel. Please also contact our support team ([email protected])
What we’re doing
We’ll continue monitoring imports and remain in contact with Meta. If any further issues arise, we’ll update this article straight away.
