When a supporter signs up for your Virtual Event using your Event Registration with 1-Click form, two records are automatically created in GivePanel: a Registration Record and a Fundraiser Record.

These records are instantly matched together so you can view all relevant information about that supporter and their fundraising journey in one place.

How it works

  1. The supporter registers using your Event Registration or Event Registration with 1-Click form.

  2. A Registration Record is created to capture the details submitted through the form.

  3. If the supporter also creates a fundraiser (for example, a Facebook or JustGiving fundraiser), a Fundraiser Record is automatically generated.

  4. GivePanel instantly matches the registration and fundraiser linking the two records together.

This matching ensures you can track the full supporter journey from registration to active fundraising - without manual intervention.

What information is included

Registration Record

The registration record contains all of the details submitted by the supporter through your form, including:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number (if collected)

  • Postal address (if included)

  • T-shirt size or incentive selection

  • Marketing opt-in preferences

  • Linked fundraiser ID (once matched)

Fundraiser Record

The fundraiser record contains information about the supporter’s fundraising page (and it will also be populated with the details on the registration record when the two are matched), such as:

  • Fundraiser name and platform (e.g. Facebook, JustGiving)

  • Fundraiser URL

  • Total amount raised

  • Fundraising target

  • Date created

  • Campaign / event name

  • Number of donations and supporters

  • Linked registration ID

Matching

Once matched, both the registration and fundraiser records will show a link to each other, allowing you to switch between them easily.

  • From the Registration Record, you can see the supporter’s linked fundraiser.

  • From the Fundraiser Record, you can view the registration details submitted through the form.

This ensures a complete, unified view of your participant’s journey within your campaign.
