Overview
Fundraiser matching shows whether a registration is linked to a fundraising page in GivePanel. This is useful for identifying who has registered only and who has registered and created a fundraiser.
JustGiving claim status shows whether a JustGiving fundraising page has been claimed by the supporter’s JustGiving account, so the supporter can access and edit their JG fundraising page after signing in to their JG account.
Fundraiser matching status (in GivePanel)
What it shows
Whether a registration is linked to a fundraising page in GivePanel. If it shows as Unmatched, this is typically because the supporter has not created a fundraising page yet.
Why it matters
You can nudge registrants who have not created a fundraising page to start fundraising.
Important note
Please note that just because a registration is not matched, it does not guarantee the supporter has not created a fundraiser.
How to action with Email Journeys
JustGiving claim status (via the GivePanel x JustGiving integration)
What it shows
After creating a JustGiving page, supporters are invited to sign in to a JustGiving account. This links the new JustGiving fundraising page that they just created to their JustGiving account.
Data behaviour to expect
Unclaimed pages can still receive donations.
Before the first donation, unclaimed pages will not appear in JustGiving fundraiser reports you export from JustGiving.
Once a donation arrives, the page will appear under a temporary holding (annonymous) user in JustGiving reports.
In GivePanel, you can still see the fundraiser with the supporter’s details.
Why it matters
Once claimed, supporters can edit and personalise their page in JustGiving and receive donation emails from JustGiving.
Key differences
• Matching links a registration to a fundraising page in GivePanel. Use it to identify who has created a fundraising page.
• Claiming links a JustGiving fundraising page to the supporter’s JustGiving account. Use it to ensure supporters can access, edit it and receive automated emails from JustGiving on donation activity.
