When setting up your DIY campaign in GivePanel, you’ll create a DIY Fundraising Form that allows supporters to register and instantly create their fundraising page - all in one seamless flow.

Unlike Virtual Event forms, DIY forms do not include a “register only” option. This is intentional - the DIY form has been designed to provide a simple, connected journey for supporters who are ready to start fundraising straight away.

By combining registration and fundraiser creation, you can ensure every supporter’s journey from sign up through to stewardship stays fully connected and trackable in GivePanel.

Why it’s designed this way

Many charities have told us that one of their biggest challenges with DIY / community fundraising is the multi step process between registration and page creation. The DIY form eliminates that barrier by allowing supporters to create their fundraising page as soon as they sign up.

This keeps the experience smooth for supporters and reduces the need for manual follow up by your team as you can automatically enrol them into an email journey that sends emails at key milestones personal to their own fundraising e.g. when their sponsored bake sale is or how much they've raised.

What you can customise

When creating your DIY form, you’ll be able to:

  • Add your campaign title and logo

  • Customise form fields such as activity type, fundraising target, and event date

  • Include marketing opt-ins and privacy links

  • Connect your JustGiving or Facebook integration so pages are automatically created

Once the form is published, every registration will automatically generate a fundraising page - ready to be tracked, reported on, and included in your automated email journeys.
