When using GivePanel’s Email Tool, all outgoing emails including those sent automatically when supporters register, fill out a data capture form, or enter a lead journey they are are sent through our email delivery provider, SendGrid.

To ensure these messages are delivered reliably and appear as coming from your charity’s domain (for example, [email protected] instead of [email protected]), we need to authenticate your domain.

What is domain authentication?

Domain authentication verifies that GivePanel has permission to send emails on your behalf. It helps prevent emails being flagged as spam or “phishing” and increases deliverability to supporters’ inboxes.

When domain authentication is set up, all GivePanel emails - including registration confirmations, lead journeys, and event email journeys - display your verified sender name and domain.

Why domain authentication is required

Without domain authentication, GivePanel emails cannot be sent from your charity’s domain, meaning:

  • Automated or instant emails may fail to send or be marked as unverified.

  • Supporters may see “via sendgrid.net” or similar in the “From” field.

  • Deliverability and trust can be affected.

Domain authentication ensures:

  • Consistent branding across all supporter emails.

  • Higher email deliverability and fewer spam issues.

  • Access to the full Email Journey and Lead Journey features.

What this enables

Once domain authentication is complete, your account will be able to:

  • Send instant emails triggered when supporters fill out a registration or data capture form or create a fundraiser.

  • Providing it is part of your license, set up and send Email Journeys for Virtual Events or DIY campaigns.

  • Send Lead Journeys to nurture Facebook leads before they register or start fundraising.
