Editing GivePanel Events Registration Forms in Live Mode

This article covers what you can and can't edit on a GivePanel Events Registration form once it has been made live and has received registrations

Written by Charlotte Ulett

Draft Mode

  • When an Event is is 'Draft' mode it is fully editable, fields can be added, removed and edited.

  • You can edit field labels including Field Label, Placeholder, Help Text across all field types

  • You can make fields visible or hidden across all field types

  • You can reorder form fields across all field types

  • You can edit option labels and limits for drop downs, checkboxes, radio buttons etc

  • You can hide/show specific options for drop downs, checkboxes, radio buttons etc

Testing in Draft Mode

  • When your event is in draft mode you can fully test the event registration form including fully submitting the registration (payment is bypassed in draft mode)

  • You can run reports on your test registrations and fully test the user experience

  • You can view registrations on your dashboard

  • We suggest fully testing your form in draft mode and making sure you are happy with all your form fields before going live

  • Learn more about how to test your event here

Switching to Live Mode

  • When switching to Live Mode, you will be asked to clear all your test data so these do not appear in reports once your event is live

  • Once live, you will not be able to add or remove form fields after a form has received registrations

  • Dropdown fields are editable, but if you've applied limits to the drop down (for things like inventory), editing dropdown field labels after going live will reset the limit for that option. Please see the guidance on setting dropdown limits here

  • You will not be able to refund or cancel registrations (please note refund and cancellation functionality is currently being developed)
