Enabling Team functionality
There are two levels at which you can enable team functionality:
Within Event Settings - enables team registration functionality for the event overall
Within Form Settings - controls whether supporters actually see team options when registering via that form (useful for if you have an event with multiple forms, some with and some without team registration requirements)
Primary Registrant vs. Secondary Registrant
Primary Registrant - The person who initiates a registration, they may be registering just for themselves, registering others, creating a team and inviting team members or purchasing a group ticket.
Secondary Registrant - A person who has been invited to register, join a team or been registered by someone else. Children who's tickets are bought by an adult are also considered Secondary Registrants.
Register Others vs. Invite Others
There are two main ways supporters can add team members when registering within GivePanel Events:

Registering Others - You (the team captain) register and pay for additional team members at once. You'll need to provide their details and complete payment for everyone.
Inviting team members - Send email invites to specific team members who will register and pay for themselves individually. They'll join your team after completing their own
Please note: Within your form builder you can choose which details the primary registrant will need to fill out for any secondary registrants they are registering for, the remaining form fields will be filled out by the secondary registrant when they receive their email to fill out their registration form. When inviting others, the primary registrant will only need to enter the name and email address of any team members they are inviting.
