There are several ways to export data from GivePanel, each designed to suit different needs, from custom reports to real-time updates:

1. Custom Export Using Report Builder

The Report Builder allows you to customise your export, selecting specific columns of data you want to include. Here's how to create and export your custom report:

  • Head to ‘Reporting’, then select ‘New Report’.

  • Create your custom report by selecting the columns you need.

  • Once you're happy with the selections, add your email address and click Save And Export.

  • You’ll receive an email notification once the report is ready for download. The report can be downloaded by clicking the timestamp located under Past Reports.

2. Using the "Export to CSV" button on Fundraisers, Donations and Registrations

This method is ideal for quickly exporting specific datasets, such as fundraisers, donations, or registrations, within a set date range.

  • Navigate to the relevant section of GivePanel (e.g., 'Audience' > 'Fundraisers' for fundraiser data, 'Audience' > 'Registrations' for registration data).

  • Click the Export to CSV button.

  • The data for the selected date range and filters (set in the top left) will be exported.

3. Using The GivePanel API

The API is perfect for more advanced integrations, allowing you to programmatically access and export GivePanel data. For more information on enabling and using the GivePanel API, GivePanel API here.

4. Using GivePanel Webhooks

Webhooks are a powerful tool that allow apps and systems to communicate with each other in real-time.

Webhooks are automated messages that are sent from apps when a specific event occurs.

These events can range from a supporter registering for your Facebook challenge to a new fundraiser being created. When these events happen, the app will send a message, also known as a payload, to a unique URL.
