When a fundraiser is created on Facebook, the donations are processed and distributed to the charity via PayPal Giving Fund (PPGF), Facebook's charitable payment partner. The timeline and method of payout can vary depending on the charity's enrollment status with PPGF:

  1. Charities Enrolled with PayPal Giving Fund

    • Funds are distributed by PayPal Giving Fund within 15-45 days.

    • In the US, payouts are issued on the 25th of every month.

    • In Canada, the UK, and Australia, payouts are issued on the last day of the month.

  2. Charities Not Enrolled with PayPal Giving Fund

    • PayPal Giving Fund will send donated funds via cheque within 90 days.

  3. Emergency Response Funds

    • In cases of natural disasters or humanitarian crises, PayPal Giving Fund may speed up the transfer of donations to charities involved in relief efforts.

For more detailed information on how charities receive donations made to PayPal Giving Fund, please visit Facebook's Help Center and scroll to the section titled "How Charities Receive Donations Made to PayPal Giving Fund."
