What are Smart Goals?

Smart Goals is a feature in GoFundMe that automatically updates the goal amount for fundraisers that meet or surpass their initial goal. Using data from similar fundraisers, GoFundMe gradually adjusts the fundraising goal as donations come in, helping fundraisers maximise their potential.

How to Enable Smart Goals

  1. Set Up the GoFundMe Integration Ensure that the GoFundMe integration is set up and enabled for your campaign.

  2. Navigate to the Form Builder Within your campaign’s form builder, scroll down to the section labeled "Fundraiser Options".

  3. Enable Smart Goals

    • Here, you can choose whether to offer Smart Goals as an option on the registration form and / or activate later page.

Important Notes:

  • If you want to enable Smart Goals on your custom fundraiser link, you must first activate it on your registration form. The custom fundraiser link will reflect the same fundraiser options selected on the registration form.

Supporter Experience

When registering and creating their fundraiser, supporters will be presented with the option to enable Smart Goals for their fundraiser. This option will be available on the registration form and reflected on the "activate later" page.

By enabling Smart Goals, supporters can benefit from automatically adjusted fundraising targets, helping them reach even greater milestones effortlessly. If you have any questions about Smart Goals or how to enable them, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.
