If your email formatting looks off (for example spacing, fonts, or styles not appearing as expected), this is usually caused by hidden formatting being carried over from external tools like Google Docs or Microsoft Word.
These tools include additional styling in the background when content is copied, which can conflict with the GivePanel email builder and override its formatting.
How to avoid formatting issues
The best way to avoid this is to create your email content directly within the GivePanel email builder.
This ensures that only GivePanel’s formatting is applied and helps keep everything consistent.
Already pasted content? Here’s how to fix it
If content has already been pasted into the email builder and the formatting isn’t quite right:
Select all of the text within the email editor
Click the “Clear formatting” button in the toolbar
This will remove any hidden formatting that may have been carried over.
Please note:
This may remove hyperlinks and styling (such as bold text or font sizes)
You may need to reapply formatting within the email builder
Final check
Once you’ve updated your email, it’s always a good idea to send a test email to make sure everything looks as expected before sending it out.
