Why Are Some Facebook Fundraiser Names Called "Supporter" In GivePanel?

Sometimes, in the Facebook transaction data, there is no campaign owner name to identify a fundraiser. When this happens GivePanel uses the name "Supporter" instead of the fundraiser name (campaign owner name).

This means that in the Message Templates and Data Capture Forms the word "Supporter" will appear instead of their First Name.

Facebook will usually sort this out for you over time. Simply try requesting a fresh Facebook transaction report or import using the Facebook single-day importer a few hours/days later, for the same period, and re-upload this into GivePanel. If Facebook has updated the data with the actual names of your fundraisers, this will also be updated in GivePanel.

If you can't wait for Facebook to sort this, you can resolve this by editing their record in GivePanel and changing it from supporter to their actual name. To do this, you can expand the fundraiser record by clicking on it and then selecting the little pencil icon in the top left of the fundraiser record.
