Enabling Address Autocomplete on Your Form

Enable Address Verification On Your Event Registration Forms.

Address autocomplete is an optional feature and needs to be enabled in your account by the GivePanel team.

Step 1: Request Access

Please contact [email protected] to request this functionality.
We’ll confirm once it has been enabled in your account.

Step 2: Activate Address Autocomplete on a Form

Once enabled:

  1. Head to Campaigns in the main navigation bar.

  2. Click Forms from the dropdown.

  3. Select the form you’d like to update.

  4. Scroll to the Address Options section.

  5. Select Address Autocomplete from the dropdown.

  6. Click Save.

When enabled, supporters will only need to start typing the first line of their address. They’ll then be presented with suggested address options to select from.

Address Field Improvements

To improve accuracy and reduce incomplete addresses, we’ve introduced the following updates:

Updated Field Guidance

The address field now reads:

“Start typing the first line of your address including your house name or number”

This helps guide supporters to enter the correct information from the start.

Improved Validation

If a supporter enters an address without a house number, they’ll now see a red validation banner prompting them to complete the address correctly.

This helps reduce incomplete address submissions and improves data quality for fulfilment and supporter records.
