There are two ways you can upload the Facebook transaction data into your GivePanel account.

You can use the single day importer or you can upload a Facebook multi-day transaction report. Let's look at how to find and upload the Facebook multi-day transaction report as a great way to import historical Facebook transaction data in one go.

Here is how to find the transaction report from within Facebook:

  1. Head to your nonprofit's Facebook page

  2. Navigate to the ‘Insights’ section of your nonprofit manager, linked here

  3. In the top right of the page, select ''Get Donation Reports''

  4. Select the date range you would like the report to cover

  5. Enter your email address and click on ''Email Reports''

  6. The transaction file will be sent to you as a CSV file. Please do not open or edit the file before trying to upload it into GivePanel. GivePanel can detect this and will prevent the upload from taking place to protect the quality of the data in your account.

  7. Log into your GivePanel account and click "Add new data" at the top right of your account

  8. A modal will open up and under ''Manual Facebook Upload'' click on the "Manual Upload"

  9. Tick the box agreeing the report has not been modified. If it has, the GivePanel platform will reject the file.

  10. Either drag and drop the file into the modal or "click" within the modal to locate the file on your computer to upload your file.

  11. A green banner will pop up at the top of your screen to say your data was uploaded successfully once complete. You will need to click the green banner to refresh your account after an upload before the ''Add new data'' button will allow you to upload data again.
