We’ve introduced a new feature that allows you to duplicate an existing campaign and its associated email journey, helping to reduce setup time by reusing previous settings.

Follow these steps to easily create a copy of any campaign and customise it for new events or fundraisers.

Step 1: Access the Campaigns Page

  1. In the main navigation bar, click on Campaigns.

  2. From the dropdown menu, select Campaigns to view your list of existing campaigns.

Step 2: Find and Duplicate a Campaign

  1. Browse through your campaigns and find the one you’d like to duplicate.

  2. Click the Duplicate icon next to the campaign you want to copy.

Step 3: Review and Edit the Duplicated Campaign

  1. After clicking the Duplicate button, you will be taken to the Duplicate Campaign Setup page.

  2. Review all campaign settings and make any necessary adjustments before finalizing your new campaign.

Step 4: Managing the Duplicated Email Journey

  1. When duplicating a campaign, all email journeys associated with the original campaign will also be duplicated.

  2. Important: By default, all emails in the duplicated campaign's email journey will be paused. You will need to activate each email individually to ensure you've reviewed the content before publishing.

  3. Make any updates to the email content or settings, and use additional merge tags as needed to personalize your communication.

Step 5: Update the Duplicated Form

When duplicating a campaign, the form that was previously used will also be duplicated. As you navigate through the campaign builder of the duplicated campaign, the duplicate form will be selected, but you won’t be able to edit it.

To edit the form:

  • Head to Campaigns > Forms.

  • Find the duplicated form (it will include the word 'copy' in the title).

  • Proceed to update the form to ensure it is relevant for your next campaign.

This new functionality is designed to streamline your workflow, allowing you to reuse successful campaigns while ensuring that all elements are reviewed before they go live.

Best Practices:

  • Always review your email journey to ensure any date-sensitive or campaign-specific content is updated (such as links).

  • Check all campaign settings, such as event names or labels, that may need to be customized for the new campaign.

  • Review the duplicated form: Ensure that the duplicated form (found in Campaigns > Forms) is fully updated to reflect the needs of the new campaign. Pay special attention to any fields or instructions that were specific to the original campaign such as the drop down choice (commonly used for capturing details on the incentive such as t-shirt size).
