Rematching a Registration to a Supporter’s Active JustGiving Fundraising Page

Learn how to unmatch a registration from an inactive JustGiving fundraiser and rematch it to the supporter’s active fundraising page.

If a supporter creates multiple fundraisers on JustGiving, but only one is actively being used for fundraising. In these cases, charities can manually unmatch the registration from the inactive JustGiving fundraiser and rematch it to the correct active JustGiving fundraiser in GivePanel. This guide walks you through how to do this.

Steps to Unmatch and Rematch a Registration to the Appropriate JustGiving Fundraiser

  1. Identify the Active Fundraiser

    • Confirm which of the supporter’s JustGiving fundraisers is actively being used.

  2. Unmatch the Registration from the Inactive Fundraiser

    • In GivePanel, search for the inactive fundraiser ID (e.g., JG18222105) using the fundraiser list search bar.

    • Click "Show Registration" > "Unmatch" to disconnect the registration from the JustGiving fundraiser record.

  3. Rematch the Registration to the Appropriate Active JustGiving Fundraiser

    • Locate the active JustGiving fundraiser record in GivePanel

    • Click "Find registrations to match to fundraiser."

    • Select the correct registration and confirm the match.


Additional Notes:

  • Once a fundraiser is created outside of the GivePanel/JustGiving integration, it will only appear in GivePanel after receiving its first donation and being auto-imported the next day.
