To enhance fundraiser engagement and improve the number of JustGiving pages claimed GivePanel now includes a new auto-responder that sends an email to the supporter when a fundraiser is created.
This is separate from the registration auto-responder and provides additional opportunities to guide fundraisers through the setup process.
What’s New?
New Fundraiser Auto-Responder
A new email auto-responder that sends an email as soon as a fundraiser is created.
Allows the use of Fundraiser Page URL, JustGiving Claim URL, and other merge tags to dynamically insert the desired url.
Fully customisable email content within GivePanel.
Can be enabled or disabled per campaign.
Available in the Fundraiser Creator section of the Campaign Builder.
Integrated with email reporting, providing open and click-through rates.
How to Enable and Customise the Fundraiser Auto-Responder
Go to campaigns in the main navigation and find your chosen Campaign
Click into the campaign in GivePanel.
Navigate to the ''Fundraiser'' Creator section of your campaign builder.
Scroll down and locate the ''Automated Fundraiser Email'' section.
Toggle the auto-responder on or off as needed per fundraising platform.
Customise the following settings:
Email From Name
Email From Address
Email Subject Line
Email Message
Merge Tags (Fundraiser URL, JustGiving Claim URL, Event Title, etc.)
Send Copy (Optional)
Click Save Changes to activate the auto-responder.
Tracking and Reporting on Auto-Responder Emails
Both the registration auto-responder and the new fundraiser auto-responder are now included in campaign email reporting.
To view email performance:
Go to ''Messaging'' in the main navigation bar > Email Journeys
Navigate to the your email journey and then click the reporting icon found within the ''Actions'' column.
Look for the following emails at the top of the list:
Registration Auto-Response – Sent immediately after registration.
Fundraiser Auto-Response – Sent immediately after a fundraiser is created.
Track key metrics:
Delivered Emails
Open Rates (%)
Click Rates (%)

GivePanel provides default email templates for different fundraising platforms. These messages can be customised to match your charity’s branding and communication style.

Don’t forget to connect your JustGiving account. If you haven’t done so yet, simply log in to JustGiving and connect your fundraising page here:
