If your charity already has a direct integration between JustGiving and your CRM (for example Raiser’s Edge, Access Charity CRM, or ThankQ), you may be wondering how this works alongside GivePanel and whether you risk importing the same JustGiving fundraiser data twice.
What the GivePanel ↔ JustGiving integration does
GivePanel connects to your charity’s JustGiving account using JustGiving’s API. It enables:
JustGiving fundraiser creation, so supporters can register and create a JustGiving fundraising page in a couple of clicks
Automatic import of JustGiving fundraisers and page details into GivePanel, for example page title, total raised, and URL
Import of donation data related to those fundraisers, which updates totals in GivePanel and powers stewardship journeys such as milestone emails
Key difference to know
Unclaimed JustGiving pages appear as anonymous in exports taken directly from JustGiving until the fundraising page has been claimed. In GivePanel these pages are identifiable.
What you can export from GivePanel for your CRM
Typical supporter journey in GivePanel:
A supporter registers for a campaign. This creates a registration record in GivePanel with the information they submitted, for example email address and postal address.
They then create a fundraiser. This creates a fundraiser record in GivePanel which gets matched to the registration record.
JustGiving fundraisers share the same Page ID in both GivePanel and JustGiving, which helps with reconciliation and deduplication.
Learn how GivePanel automatically creates and matches registration and fundraiser records when supporters sign up for your event.
Understanding Fundraiser and Registration Records
Typical exports from GivePanel include:
Registration type report: name, email, address, T-shirt size, custom fields, ID of the fundraiser page that the registration is matched to
Fundraiser type report: JustGiving Page ID, page URL, total raised as seen in GivePanel, plus labels, campaign codes, and internal references for reporting and reconciliation
Actual payments still come from JustGiving.

How To Export Data From GivePanel
How other organisations process this
Pattern A: CRM matching rules handle both sources cleanly
Setup:
Direct JustGiving → CRM API feed
Export to CSV from GivePanel for registrations and fundraisers
Matching approach:
CRM matches first on email
If no email match, CRM matches on first name plus surname plus postcode
If a match is found, new data is attached to the existing contact
If no match, a new contact is created
Pattern B: Keep JustGiving → CRM as the source of truth for page and donation data
Setup:
CRM already receives fundraiser pages and donations info from an existing JustGiving → CRM API integration
Team exports registrations from GivePanel as CSV and imports into the CRM
Import approach:
When exporting from GivePanel, teams exclude JustGiving page and donation fields that already arrive via the JustGiving → CRM API
They import registrations
This avoids duplicates in the CRM
Real world example summary
“We have a direct JustGiving → CRM feed using Access Charity CRM. The CRM matches on email first, then name and postcode.
We import registrations and fundraiser context from GivePanel via a manual feed using the same matching logic. Sometimes the GivePanel registration arrives first, sometimes the JustGiving page does, but either way the CRM links them to one contact.”
