GivePanel Events includes built in email functionality to help you communicate with participants throughout their registration and fundraising journey.

Emails are grouped into two main categories:

  • Transaction Emails

  • Stewardship Emails

This article explains the difference between them and how they work.

Where to Manage Event Emails

To access emails for your event:

Go to: Event → Emails

You’ll see three tabs:

  • Editor

  • Branding

  • Settings

Each tab controls a different part of your event’s email setup.

1. Transaction Emails

Transaction emails are automatic system emails triggered by key actions in the registration or fundraising journey.

They provide essential confirmations and next steps.

Available Transaction Emails

  • Registration Confirmation (Sent when someone successfully registers.)

  • Team Registration Confirmation (Sent when a team is created and registration is completed.)

  • Team Invite Request (Sent when a team captain invites someone to join their team.)

  • Confirm Secondary Registration Request (Sent to secondary registrants - for example, additional participants) to confirm their registration.

  • Claim JustGiving Fundraiser Request
Sent in Registration Flow when a supporter needs to claim their fundraising page.

2. Stewardship Emails

Stewardship emails are designed to nurture and engage participants before, during and after the event.

These emails are managed via Email Journeys.

You can use them to:

  • Send scheduled emails ahead of event day

  • Encourage fundraising progress

  • Share reminders or preparation tips

  • Celebrate milestones
