Can I segment registrations by those who haven't created a fundraiser?

You might want to segment your registrations by those who haven't created a fundraiser so you can reach out to them and invite them to create one.

Whilst there isn't a filter for this at present, the closest way to do this is to head to the ''Registrations'' section by clicking on ''Audience'' in the navigation tab and then ''Registrations''. You can then expand your filters by clicking on ''Filters'' and filtering by ''not yet matched''. This means that these registrations haven't matched with a fundraiser.

The likelihood is that this segment of people will be showing as ''not yet matched'' because they haven't created a fundraiser yet. However, this is not guaranteed, and here's why:

  • They could have created a fundraiser which is in your account but if you haven't run matching for that day, then they won't be showing in this segment.

  • Alternatively, they might have created a fundraiser which isn't in your account yet.

For this reason, when crafting communication campaigns targeting this segment to create fundraisers, it's important to phrase the request in a manner that acknowledges the possibility that some individuals may have already set up their fundraiser. You might consider framing the ask by mentioning 'in case you haven't set up your fundraiser yet.'

This ensures inclusivity, as it accounts for scenarios where fundraisers may have been created but not yet reflected in our records or matched with the registration.

You can mitigate this by inviting your supporters to create a fundraiser using the Event Registration with 1-Click form as registrations and fundraisers created using this link, go into your account and are matched immediately.
