Learn how to use the Advanced Data Management tools to bulk upload values to fundraiser records in GivePanel.

Advanced Data Management tools allow you to bulk upload values (such as Events, Labels, and Internal Codes) directly to fundraiser records in GivePanel, making it easier to manage data for larger campaigns.

This is available to accounts with access to advanced data management tools only. If you don't see these tools in your account, it means your account may not have access. Please contact support if you believe you need this feature.

Step 1: Preparing Your File for Bulk Upload

  1. Export a List of Fundraisers: We recommend starting by exporting a list of the fundraiser records you want to update in GivePanel, as this will provide you with a column for their campaign IDs.

  2. Add Columns for Values: Once you have the list, create additional columns for each value you want to bulk upload. For example:

    • One column should contain the Campaign IDs (unique identifiers for each fundraiser record).

    • Other columns should be for the values you want to upload, such as Events, Labels or Internal Codes. Clearly title these columns (e.g., "Labels", "Internal Codes").

  3. Ensure Values Are Set Up: Before uploading, make sure that the values (like events, labels or internal codes) you want to add have already been set up in your GivePanel account.

  5. Save Your File: Once you've populated your file, save it in CSV format to ensure compatibility with the bulk upload tool.

Step 2: Accessing Advanced Data Management Tools

  1. In the top right corner of your GivePanel account, click on your Account Name to open the dropdown menu.

  2. Select Account Settings.

  3. In the Account Settings page, click on the Advanced tab.

  4. From here, select Bulk Upload.

Step 3: Uploading Your File

  1. Drag and drop your prepared CSV file or click to upload the file that contains the values you want to bulk upload to fundraiser records.

Step 4: Completing the Bulk Upload

  1. After uploading, the system will process the file and apply the changes to the fundraiser records.

  2. You will see a confirmation message once the upload is complete, this will let you know if there were any errors.

By following these steps, you can easily manage and update multiple fundraiser records at once using the Advanced Data Management tools.
