Seeing an “Oops!” error when registering or creating a fundraiser?
If you or one of your supporters sees an “Oops! Something went wrong while loading this page” message when registering for an event, creating a fundraiser or claiming an existing fundraiser, the issue can sometimes be related to the browser or device being used.
This is more common on iPhone, where links opened in apps such as Facebook or Instagram may use an in-app browser.
Try these common fixes
1. On iPhone, open the link in Safari
If the link was opened from Facebook, Instagram, email or another app, try copying the page URL and opening it directly in Safari.
You can also tap the ••• or Share button and select Open in Safari or Open in External Browser, if available.
2. Turn off Private Browsing
Private Browsing can sometimes prevent the form from storing information it needs. Close the private tab and try again in a regular Safari tab.
3. Allow pop-ups
Some parts of the registration or fundraising process may open a new window, such as when signing in to Facebook.
On iPhone or iPad, go to:
Settings → Safari → Block Pop-ups
Make sure Block Pop-ups is turned off, then try again.
4. Try another browser or check your connection
If you're still seeing the error, try another browser such as Safari or Chrome, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or close and reopen your browser.
If your device is very low on storage, freeing up some space and restarting it may also help.
5. Trying to claim a JustGiving fundraiser? (Link your fundraising page to your JustGiving account)
If you're claiming an existing JustGiving fundraiser, stored browser data or browser extensions can sometimes interfere with the process.
Try an incognito or private tab, or use a different browser.
Still seeing the error?
If you've tried the steps above and you're still having trouble, please contact the charity you're registering for. It can be helpful to include:
The event or campaign
What you were trying to do when the error appeared
The page URL, if available
Your device and browser, for example iPhone + Safari
A screenshot of the error, if possible
