These are some of the most frequent reasons custom Facebook fundraisers aren't created but please do reach out to [email protected] if you're having any issues.

I've Just Created My Campaign (event) But No One In The Team Can Get The 1-click Custom Fundraiser Link To Work.

It's possible something hasn't been set up correctly in your GivePanel account. Some of the most common things are:

  • When setting up the link during setting up the campaign, the end date has been set in the past.

  • No target amount has been set.

Something else to check is that the integration between your GivePanel account and Facebook page is connected.

Head to Integrations > Charity Reporting API. If the connection is working, you should see the word ''connected''.

If this isn't connected, please find our guidance here on how to connect your GivePanel account with your Facebook page.

It Was Working For Everyone, But Now No One Can Create A Fundraiser.

If your Charitable Giving Tools have been disabled, no one will be able to create a fundraiser or donate to fundraisers. Here is our guidance on what to do if this happens.

It's Working for Everyone Aside From One Supporter. They Are Seeing a Permissions Error Message.

If your supporters are seeing a permissions error e.g. ''Oh no! We could not create your fundraiser. We need you to accept GivePanel permissions. Please click below to try again...'', this is likely because they haven't accepted the required permissions Facebook need when creating their fundraiser.

These are the two permissions pages supporters will see when creating a Custom Facebook Fundraiser for the first time. The first one states ''GivePanel is requesting to manage your fundraisers.''

To remedy this, they can click ''click here to try again'' and then ''continue'' on the permissions page which will accept the required permissions. If they click ''choose what you allow'' and edit the permissions, this can prevent the fundraiser from being created.
