Fundraisers created using the Custom Facebook Fundraiser Link (formerly 1-Click) or Event Registration with 1-Click link are referred to as API fundraisers. When these fundraisers receive donations, they are instantly recorded as real-time donations in GivePanel.
Real-time donations differ slightly from other donations you may be familiar with. They enter your account without a donor name and a specified payout currency. Instead, they are recorded in the currency in which they were donated. This may result in multiple totals displayed at the bottom of the fundraiser section.
Typically, when you upload data from Facebook, your totals update based on the payout currency specified in the Facebook data, which is what you are paid in. However, real-time donations initially lack a specified payout currency.
When you upload new transaction data from Facebook, it adds donor names to the real-time donations and converts the currency to the payout currency specified in the data.
Donations made to your Custom Facebook Fundraisers will now appear in your revenue graph in the dashboard in real-time.
Only fundraisers created through a Custom Facebook Fundraiser link will have their donations appear in the revenue graph in real-time.
The revenue graph updates in real-time (no page refresh required).
The Total Raised & Total Donations will increase as well (this requires a page refresh while in V1).
The donations received will also appear in the donations section. Since Facebook doesn't provide donor names for real-time donations, these donations won't have any donor names initially. However, when you next upload Facebook Transaction data, the donor names will be added in.
We only accept real-time donations if a fundraiser is already in GivePanel - if not, the donations aren't pulled in through real-time but they will be included when that day's Facebook transaction data is imported.
