Launch Checklist: Final Pre Launch Checks

A final pre launch checklist to help you test registrations, fundraising pages, emails and links before promoting your event.

Before sharing your event publicly, complete these final checks to make sure everything is working as expected.

1. Test the Registration Journey

Share the registration link with a few colleagues and ask them to complete the journey exactly as a real supporter would. They should:

  • Register for a ticket

  • Create a fundraising page

2. Confirm Fundraising Page Creation

Create a fundraiser and check:

  • That the fundraising page is successfully created.

  • Open the page in JustGiving and confirm:

    • The title is correct

    • The image is correct

    • The description and target look right

3. Check Emails

Use the Send Test Email functionality within each email to send yourself a preview before launch. Review:

  • Branding is consistent and displays correctly

  • Content is accurate and up to date

  • Links populate instead of a merge tag (in test emails, generic links will show in place of a merge tag which confirms the merge tag has been added correctly)

4. Double Check the Link in Your Marketing

Confirm that:

  • The correct form URL is being used

  • It matches the form you intend to promote

  • There are no old or test links in your website, emails or ads

If embedding the form on your website, test the embedded version as well.
