GivePanel Events allows you to control how fundraising pages look and behave when they are created through your event.

Within the Fundraisers tab of your Event, you can set default templates for:

  • Individual fundraising pages

  • Team fundraising pages

This article explains how to customise the image, title, description, target and creation rules for your event.

Where to Manage Fundraising Page Settings

To customise fundraising pages:

Go to: Event → Fundraisers

You will land on the Templates area, where you can toggle between:

  • Individuals

  • Teams

Changes made here apply to all newly created fundraising pages for this event.

What You Can Customise

Fundraiser Image

The Fundraiser Image is the banner image that appears at the top of each supporter’s JustGiving fundraising page.

This is typically:

  • Your campaign creative

  • Event branding

  • A hero image representing the challenge

Recommended image size for JustGiving:

  • 1600 x 400 pixels

  • Landscape format

  • High resolution JPG or PNG (double check this with team)

Keep important text within imagery centred, as some cropping may occur on mobile devices.

Fundraiser Title

This sets the default title that appears on each fundraising page.

You may wish to include:

  • The event name

  • The charity name

Supporters can edit their page title directly within JustGiving after creation.

Fundraiser Description

This sets the default description that appears on each fundraising page.

Best practice:

  • Clearly explain what the event is

  • Explain why fundraising matters

  • Include a compelling reason to donate

  • Keep it concise and supporter friendly

Supporters can personalise this text within JustGiving once their page is created.

Fundraising Target

You can set a default fundraising target for supporters.

This target:

  • Pre populates the supporter’s page

  • Can typically be edited by the supporter in JustGiving

  • Helps set fundraising expectations early

  • Minimum amount is £50

Setting a target often increases average fundraising performance.

Fundraiser End Date

You can define when fundraising pages should automatically end.

This helps:

  • Align pages with your event timeline

  • Prevent outdated pages remaining active

Fundraiser Creation Rules

Under Fundraiser Creation, you can choose which registrations automatically have a fundraising page created.

The available options are:

All Adults

A fundraising page is automatically created for all adult registrations.

Anyone under 18 will not have a fundraising page created.

Primary Registrant Only

Only the primary registrant (the person completing the booking) will have a fundraising page created. Secondary participants will not receive their own page.

Supporter Choice

Supporters are given the option to choose whether they want to create a fundraising page during registration.

This setting allows you to control:

  • Whether fundraising is mandatory or optional

  • Whether secondary participants fundraise

Choose the option that best aligns with your event goals and fundraising strategy.

Individual vs Team Fundraising Templates

You can customise settings separately for:

  • Individuals

  • Teams

Team pages often benefit from:

  • Team specific language

  • Collective fundraising messaging

  • A higher default target

Make sure you review both tabs if team fundraising is enabled for your event.

Important Notes

  • Changes made in the Fundraisers tab apply to newly created fundraising pages only.

  • Existing pages that have already been created will not automatically update.
