Adding Ticket Types & Pricing

This guide explains how to create and configure ticket types for your event, including pricing, VAT, availability, and purchase limits.

Tickets are managed within the Items section of your event.

Where to Add Tickets

  1. Go to Campaigns > Event Registration

  2. Open your event

  3. Navigate to Items

  4. Click Create Ticket

You can create multiple ticket types within the same event.

Standard Ticket Types

Standard tickets are individual entry tickets, such as:

  • Adult

  • Child

  • Early Bird

  • VIP

  • Student

When creating a standard ticket, you can configure the following:

Ticket Name & Description

The name appears on:

  • The registration form

  • Confirmation emails

  • Reports

Use clear, supporter facing language.

The description is optional and can explain:

  • What’s included

  • Age restrictions

  • Special conditions

Ticket Price

You can choose:

  • Paid ticket

  • Free ticket

If paid, the amount will be processed via Stripe.

VAT Settings

If applicable, you can apply VAT to individual ticket types.
VAT and Pricing on Tickets

Quantity Available

Set how many of this ticket type are available. Once the quantity is reached:

  • The ticket will no longer be selectable

  • Other ticket types remain available

This allows you to:

  • Run limited Early Bird tickets

  • Cap VIP entries

Sales Window

Control when a ticket becomes available.

You can set:

  • Start date and time

  • End date and time

This is useful for:

  • Early access tickets

  • Time limited discounts

  • Staggered releases

Purchase Limit per Supporter

You can limit how many of a specific ticket type one supporter can purchase.

Example: Maximum 2 VIP tickets per registration

This prevents bulk purchasing if needed.

Secondary Registrants

You can enable Secondary Registrants to allow one person to register additional participants under the same purchase.

When enabled, you can:

  • Capture details for additional attendees

  • Define required fields for them

This is commonly used for:

  • Family registrations

  • Group bookings

Group Tickets

Group tickets allow multiple standard tickets to be bundled together.

Important:

  • At least two standard tickets must exist before creating a group ticket

  • Group tickets are built from existing standard ticket types

Group tickets are useful for:

  • Family bundles

  • Corporate entries

  • Discounted group pricing

Using Multiple Ticket Types Together

You can combine:

  • Free and paid tickets

  • Individual and group tickets

  • Early bird and standard pricing

Each ticket type can have its own:

  • Quantity limit

  • Sales window

  • Pricing structure

Discount Codes

Discount codes are managed under the Discount Codes tab within Items.

You can create:

  • Fixed amount discounts (e.g. £5 off)

  • Percentage discounts (e.g. 20% off)

You can also configure:

  • Maximum number of uses

  • Expiry date

Discount codes apply at checkout.

For a full breakdown, see: Using Discount Codes.

Best Practice Tips

  • Keep ticket names simple and clear

  • Use sales windows for early bird pricing instead of manual changes

  • Test paid tickets before going live

  • Review VAT settings with your finance team

  • Run a full test registration before publishing
