Customising Your Stewardship Email Branding

Learn how to customise the branding of your stewardship (Email Journey) emails, including logos, colours and buttons.

About Stewardship Email Branding

Stewardship emails (Email Journeys) allow you to send personalised, automated emails to your participants.

Unlike transaction emails, which are branded at the event level, stewardship emails use account-level branding settings.

This means your branding is applied consistently across all stewardship emails in your account.

Where to Find Stewardship Email Branding

To update your stewardship email branding:

  1. Click your account name in the top right

  2. Go to Account Settings

  3. Select Emails

  4. Open the Branding tab

This is where you can control the global styling for all stewardship emails.

How Branding Works

The branding you set here will:

  • Apply across all stewardship emails (Email Journeys)

  • Be used as the default styling when creating new emails

  • Ensure consistency across different events and campaigns

You can still make small adjustments within individual emails, but the global branding acts as your base design.

What You Can Customise

Logo

Upload your logo to appear at the top of your emails.

You can also choose the logo position:

  • Left

  • Centre

  • Right

Link Colour

Set the colour used for hyperlinks within your emails.

Button Styling

Buttons are used for key actions such as “Set up your fundraiser” or “View your page”.

You can customise:

  • Background colour

  • Text colour

  • Border style (none or outline)

  • Border radius (square, rounded or pill)

Preview Panel

As you update your branding, you will see a live preview of how your emails will appear.

This allows you to quickly check:

  • Colours

  • Button styles

  • Overall layout

Best Practice Tips

  • Use your primary brand colour for buttons

  • Ensure strong contrast between text and background

  • Keep branding simple and consistent

  • Test your emails before going live

Important: Transaction vs Stewardship Emails

All GivePanel products (GivePanel Events, DIY and Virtual Events) use stewardship emails, which are managed through Email Journeys.

These are the emails you send to guide and support participants throughout their journey.

Stewardship emails (Account level)

  • Styled via: Account Settings → Emails → Branding

  • Applies across all events and campaigns

  • Used for Stewardship Email Journeys (automated participant emails)

Transaction emails (Event level)

  • Only available in GivePanel Events

  • Styled via: Event → Emails → Branding

  • Applies per event

These are system generated emails triggered by supporter actions, such as:

  • Registration confirmations

  • Team registration emails

  • Fundraiser claim requests
